How to get only old messages.

If you recently switched to Google email, you can transfer your old messages from your other account.

1. Sign in Gmail.
2. Click in the top right corner; click Settings (gear icon) > Settings tab.
3. Click the Gmail Accounts and Import or Accounts tab.
4. Click In the second section, press Import mail and contacts button.
5. Now you should follow the steps on the screen.
6. Press Start import.

To give you time to inform your friends about your new Google email address, we'll forward emails sent to your other email account for 30 days.

Stop importing emails

1. Sign in the Gmail account you've been importing to.
2. Click In the top right corner, click Settings (gear icon > Settings.
3. Press the Accounts and Import button.
4. In the "Check email from other email accounts" section, click at delete next to the email account you want to stop getting emails from.
